Peace of Mind on Set
SUPPORTINGYOUR TEAM
Our security gatehouse gives productions the peace of mind that the site is fully secure and has been designed to give a strong yet welcoming presence from the road and to ensure a safe working site for our clients.
Internally, the security office comprises a 24/7 manned CCTV room, a post room, a reception area and a dedicated medical room. Since the purchase of the site in 2019, Dragon TV & Film Studios has invested heavily in updating and upgrading the site, including installing intruder and fob entry systems to every stage.
Our extensive Horticultural Program includes planting over 600 flowers& plants and the instalment of over 20 various birds’ nesting boxes. Additionally, we have constructed paths to maintain newly planted grass areas and wildflower banks. We strongly believe that a relaxing and environmentally friendly worksite contributes to the well-being of the crew.
Across the site, there are various outdoor seating areas that provide cast and crew with a calming space to step away and enjoy the views of the countryside. We understand the importance of exercise and health when working with a demanding filming schedule.

Gethyn Mills
MANAGING DIRECTOR
Gethyn's interest in the media industry was born from his early love of horse riding and spending time on set as a riding double around the age of 14. He went on to be involved in many productions throughout his teenage years before focusing on his university studies, ultimately gaining a degree in building management and technology. This led him into the property world, where he acquired a diverse portfolio including houses, pubs, and shops. Drawing on the experience he gained on productions, Gethyn established Shadow Rigging, which quickly became and remains Wales' go-to company for film, TV, and event rigging. But this wasn't enough to keep him occupied. He took a chance that nobody else would take and purchased the four stages once dubbed 'Valleywood' that had never left the developer's hands. Dragon Studios was reborn, and Gethyn quickly funded its transformation into the impressive facility it is today. His vision and determination to build a world-class facility in Wales is to be applauded, especially when so many others before him were unwilling to take on this challenge. An enthusiastic problem solver with a can-do attitude, Gethyn gives Dragon Studios the opportunity to stand out above the rest.
